THE BRITISH FILM DESIGNERS GUILD ANNUAL (70th ANNIVERSARY) AWARDS GALA 2017

This year’s awards will be an extra special occasion as the BFDG celebrates the work of its members in its 70th year since it was first formed in 1946. The awards will take place on the Saturday 28th January 2017 at Heatherden Hall Ballroom on the site of the internationally acclaimed Pinewood Studios.

The BFDG awards was set up to recognise and to highlight the skills and creative importance of the work undertaken by the British Production Designers, Set Decorators, and their associated departments and crews. These talented individuals work behind the scenes bringing the Directors vision to life and in turn allowing the viewer to travel on a totally immersive journey through wildly imaginative environments and historical themes.

BFDG Chairman - Peter Walpole

It’s very encouraging to see yet another buoyant year for British Films, International Film and Television Productions. The Industry has become very cosmopolitan in recent years and UK Technicians are in high demand both home and abroad. The BFDG Awards is here to celebrate and acknowledge these individuals and their work.
