Pinewood Studio Wales opened just outside of Cardiff earlier this year, following the ever increasing strength of the Welsh TV and Film industry. It is widely anticipated that Pinewood will generate £90 million of spend with Welsh businesses. Alongside this it will also generate thousands of opportunities for local people to become film and TV extras. Mad Dog Casting Wales’ dedicated casting team will be moving into the studios to take up a permanent residency this June alongside a line of local companies who have already moved in, such as Real SFX and Marigold Costumes. Pinewood’s London based studios are famous for being home to the James Bond franchise, Carry On films and hundreds of other blockbusters.

Vicki Sutton, the Head of Casting in the Wales office, said ‘after seeing more and more productions being drawn to Wales it’s great to see a company as influential as Pinewood opening studios here and we are so excited to have an office right in the middle of this new creative hub in the heart of Wales.’ With 15 years of casting experience and over 4000 artists in Wales and the South West, Mad Dog Casting is well placed to meet even the trickiest casting brief.
